My mom bought her grandaughter Jacq an electronic toy car during the 1st two hours of the 1st day of the 3-Day SM sale in Marikina. We got it less 20% of the original price. Jacq has been dreaming about her toy car. In fact in the full month that she wanted to have that car, she constantly watched YouTube clips of kids driving their own toy cars. Now that she already owns one, she couldn't be happier. What's sweet of her is that she uttered the words, "thank you Mama, I love you..." and hugged her grandma.
I finally did myself a favor - I went to an eye doctor and had my eyes checked since my right eye has been red for more than 3 months now. My opthalmologist told me that my right eye's blood veins has been inflamed due to the frequent use of contact lens. You see, I have not rested my eyes for years and years of contact lens use. The doctor prescribed me special eye drops for two weeks and that I should not wear contact lenses within that period. Which means I have to get myself a a pair of eyeglasses so I went to Ideal Vision and canvassed a nice frames and decided on getting a Sisley brand. I'll be able to get it by Sunday and only by then I can start my eye medication. Take good care of your eyes, they're the only one you got.
Ranting about My Beloved and raving about Legacy. Marian and DingDong's comback team-up in the soap My Beloved is starting to bore me. The story is running in circles and I am confused where it is headed. It also lacks depth and it failed to make me look forward for the next eps. DingDong's acting of being the naive and monotonous 'sundo' (angel of death) is already annoying. I just hope his character (Benjie/Arlan) will evolve and decide whether he will remain a human or an angel of death. With Marian's character Sharina, I hope she gets over her confusion to fall in love or not with Benjie. I'm sad how a good original plot as My Beloved is just put into waste. Meanwhile, with Legacy, it's different. The twists and turns of the story, the script and acting of the stars are something to look forward to. The story is told clearly and the characters step-up to a brand new level week after week. The only downturn of the show however is the sometimes vague delivery of lines by it's following stars: Lovi, Heart, Sid and Geof. They are not consistent in their tone of voice to the point of eating the words they deliver. Overall, I understand why My Beloved is getting a beating from it's competition. They all better get their acts together and improve the script and storyline of their soap for them to regain their audience. As with Legacy, keep up the good work.
